MaMa Day Weekend

Sea Urchin isn’t on the menu due to the big winds lately….

DSC05106

We went for The Queen Mary,

DSC05108

Black Miso Cod

DSC05109

Clam Chowder

DSC05115

Warm, Cooked food for Aiden!

DSC05123

He was feeling on the shy side.

DSC05130

He would watch them but once they said hi, he would turn around and smile.

DSC05144

So much good food!

DSC05148

But of course pictures come first.

DSC05149

Aiden always does this silly smile these days.

DSC05150

Such a silly little dude.

DSC05153

Galen’s favorite item was the lobster.

DSC05162

Mussels aren’t as good as Bouchon’s.

DSC05163

We also got squash rolls for Aiden.

DSC05164

Clams and scallops are delicious as usual.

DSC05166

The Pacific oyster were pretty good – my favorite oysters this time around.

DSC05167

Now Aiden always wants to put spread on the roll.

DSC05169

But he didn’t especially like this roll.

DSC05172

Clams are so good, gotta have more than 4.

DSC05177

He didn’t care for the soup either.

DSC05182

Or the miso cod.

DSC05184

We can skip all the stuff meant for him next time then.

DSC05190

Manhattan Beach Fire and Police Station Open House.

DSC05198

Unexpected events are nice.

DSC05201

Aiden wasn’t excited as I thought he’d be.

DSC05205

But he did entertain us.

DSC05225

He doesn’t know anything about firemen or policemen yet, so it’s probably not very meaningful.

DSC05228

In 2 years he will probably enjoy it more.

DSC05230

And we didn’t want him to go crazy touching all the controls.

DSC05233

So I am sure it took some fun away from him.

DSC05237

We all had a very productive day.

DSC05240

But there wasn’t much action in this part of the open house.

DSC05241

Nobody was there to tell or show you anything.

DSC05242

Not that Aiden would be willing to sit down and listen.

DSC05244

But he likes getting free stuff.

DSC05250

Especially candy.

DSC05256

He would not put on the fireman hat.

DSC05262

Every time we put it on him he would take it off.

DSC05263

Of course, It was also too big for him.

DSC05266

He wasn’t very interested on going on these vehicles.

DSC05273

Instead he preferred to whack things that were in his way. :X

DSC05276

This was our fireman tour guide.

DSC05282

He showed us how he put on his suit.

DSC05284

How to put on his oxygen mask.

DSC05287

And allowed people to touch his suit.

DSC05289

And showed us going down the pole, something I’ve always wanted to do.

DSC05291

But that wasn’t something we were allowed to do.

DSC05292

Successful tour!

DSC05293

That’s basically our little Mother’s Day outing.

DSC05295

All satisfied!

DSC05296

Aiden wasn’t willing to sit on the fire truck.

DSC05300

But he sure enjoyed standing there and putting on a small show for the camera.

DSC05306

Which he isn’t always willing to do these days.

DSC05308

Sometimes when he sees that camera he will tell us no 映相(taking pictures)

DSC05310

Now 2 thumbs up is easy for Aiden to do.

DSC05312

He’s so proud!

DSC05314

He’s hands are becoming more agile.

DSC05315

But I think Aiden enjoyed being outside and free way more.

DSC05317

He enjoyed running around and sitting on the planters.

DSC05319

Great concept!

DSC05324

If I had a book on me I’d definitely have swapped a book.
