淺水灣嬉水

Grandpa went out on his own, so we decided to take Aiden to the beach again.Repulse Bay 1

This time we decided Aiden should try out the sand without his crocs.

Repulse Bay 2

As you can see he slowly warmed up to the sand… more like the mud part of it.

Repulse Bay 3

Still afraid, but standing on his own.

Repulse Bay 4

Click Below to see more… too many pictures to show.

We’re standing nearby in case he has a break down or tries to run full blast into the waters.

Repulse Bay 5

Aiden wants to walk so Grandma and I are back to give him a helping hand.

Repulse Bay 6

Let’s trudge back to where it’s dry!

Repulse Bay 7

Time to play with some sand.

Repulse Bay 8

And then quickly thereafter clean the sands from Aiden’s hands.

Repulse Bay 9

Aiden is filling up his pail, as he wants to make a “sand castle” like Grandma.

Repulse Bay 10

Failed attempt as the sand was too dry!

Repulse Bay 11

Look, Aiden is willing to sit in the sand now!

Repulse Bay 12

Morning Kung Fu practice?

Repulse Bay 13

So hot!  Sunblock you need to hold up okay!

Repulse Bay 14

Why are you trying to eat sand again?

Repulse Bay 15

We can’t leave Aiden alone for even just a moment!

Repulse Bay 16

But he quickly forgets that gritty sand in his mouth.

Repulse Bay 17

Now it’s Daddie playing tricks on Aiden, as he didn’t like his feet buried under the sand.

Repulse Bay 18

Let’s fetch some water.

Repulse Bay 19

Make that sand wetter!

Repulse Bay 20

Let’s clean our feet!

Repulse Bay 21

Bye beach, we’re going home.

Repulse Bay 22

Or so maybe though… one last walk.

Repulse Bay 23

Who would have known that it would rain so hard when we got home.

Repulse Bay 24

But the next day, was hot!

Repulse Bay 25

Since Auntie Monkichi did not join Aiden on the first 2 trips, it was necessary to make a third trip to the beach.

Repulse Bay 26

Actually, it’s just because he’s really focused on putting sand in the pail.

Repulse Bay 27

He didn’t want to put the red shovel down even though he wasn’t using it.

Repulse Bay 28

Daddie told Aiden he can only go to the beach if he keeps his hat on.

Repulse Bay 29

He was very good about not pulling it off his head.

Repulse Bay 30

He’s enjoying himself so much he doesn’t notice how much sand is on his leg.

Repulse Bay 31

He’s finally noticing things around him other than what’s right in front of his face.

Repulse Bay 32

Look at the nice blue sky!

Repulse Bay 33

It’s a good thing there are trees to keep us cool.

Repulse Bay 34

Or else his feet would burn!

Repulse Bay 35

And we had such a good spot some vacationers came by and wanted to take it away from us.

Repulse Bay 36

It was so ridiculous that a lady was stepping on my Mother-in-law’s purse as she was taking a photograph.

Repulse Bay 37

We had already moved once because a group of those visitors had invaded our spot, while we were right there!

Repulse Bay 38

I don’t understand as there were so many other empty tree shades they could have gone to.

Repulse Bay 39

Why do people like to intrude that way?

Repulse Bay 40

Although, Aiden doesn’t notice them at all.

Repulse Bay 41

Not until we had to move that is…..

Repulse Bay 42

Lucky we don’t have a big set up at the beach.

Repulse Bay 43

The pail full of sand is too heavy for Aiden to carry.

Repulse Bay 44

Of course he whimpers for help.

Repulse Bay 45

There’s nothing wrong with making him wait just a little bit.

Repulse Bay 46

This boy needs to learn patience!

Repulse Bay 47

I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing (in the long run), but for now good that he has a short attention span/memory.

Repulse Bay 48

Or else he’d be really difficult to deal with.

Repulse Bay 49

Sand in the shoe….

Repulse Bay 50

No point to do anything about it until we leave Aiden.

Repulse Bay 51

And he wants help again.

Repulse Bay 52

Grandma to the rescue.

Repulse Bay 53

But then that doesn’t satisfy him either.

Repulse Bay 54

Can’t help but wonder what goes through his head.

Repulse Bay 55

It’s been about an hour and Auntie Monkichi has not arrived.

Repulse Bay 56

But she lives far away so we totally understand.

Repulse Bay 57

Ching Lui Crocs

Repulse Bay 58

Aiden was a little shocked to see his shoes super-sized.

Repulse Bay 59

Better to use someone else’s shoes to play with sand.

Repulse Bay 60

But it looks like someone is playing with his shoes and filling it up with sand!

Repulse Bay 61

Gotta be fair.

Repulse Bay 62

Let’s wrap this up and go towards the water.

Repulse Bay 63

Picture time

Repulse Bay 64

Otherwise Aiden wants his hand held when he doesn’t feel comfortable.

Repulse Bay 65

Look at him run for his life “back to shore.”

Repulse Bay 66

Auntie Monkichi to the rescue!

Repulse Bay 67

That is one of the cutest, funniest pics I’ve ever seen.

Repulse Bay 68

Look how tense he is!

Repulse Bay 69

Poor thing even knows to stop and say “hello.”

Repulse Bay 70

He is getting braver.

Repulse Bay 71

So proud of him!

Repulse Bay 72

Cold water!

Repulse Bay 73

These are the moments that warm a mother’s heart.

Repulse Bay 74

On a side, there was a government worker that came in swim wear.

Repulse Bay 75

He would pick up the trash that was in the waters near the shore.

Repulse Bay 76

Please keep it clean for when Aiden comes back!

Repulse Bay 77

But just when you think he’s done….

Repulse Bay 78

he goes back for more!

Repulse Bay 79

Either that or we dragged him back :X

Repulse Bay 80

But since he’s smiling it’s all good.

Repulse Bay 81

It’s so hot Mommie wants her feet in the cool waters.

Repulse Bay 82

We only let Aiden stand where it’s wet or shades.

Repulse Bay 83

He tried going off towards the baking sand that we had to pick him up.

Repulse Bay 84

Protect him since he obviously doesn’t understand.

Repulse Bay 85

It looks like he just noticed his shadow.

Repulse Bay 86

I think Aiden didn’t get as dark as I feared.

Repulse Bay 87

But I guess I can’t keep him out of the sun forever.

Repulse Bay 88

I think Aiden senses something wrong.

Repulse Bay 89

His foot is being buried in sand.

Repulse Bay 90

How quickly does he get up!

Repulse Bay 91

“None of that for me,” he says.

Repulse Bay 92

Auntie Monkichi gets in his way.

Repulse Bay 93

Mud pie anyone?

Repulse Bay 94

That’s going to be difficult for Aiden to pick up.

Repulse Bay 95

So he knocks it down!

Repulse Bay 96

Aiden wants to start all over again.

Repulse Bay 97

He could probably do it all day!

Repulse Bay 98

How will you like the beach in California, without the shades?
