澳門為食之旅

The biggest Family trip for me since I became a Ma, same for Galen.

DSC_6179

A total of 10 of us – Wingo couldn’t make it due to work issues.

DSC_6182

We’re here again at 黑沙海灘 for lunch.

DSC_6187

This time the 炒馬介休 was good, although I didn’t take a bite this time.

DSC_6194

The 燒豬脾 was delicious.  We all got at least 1 piece. Galen got 2.5 pieces.

DSC_6196

Another fried rice dish – perfect for Aiden as there are shrimp in it.

DSC_6205

This dish was ordered especially for Aiden and we’re glad he liked it as Daddie wasn’t sure he would.  There are total of 3 whole 魶魚, perfect for sharing among us.

DSC_6207

But the ultimate star of this whole trip is the  葡撻.

Egg Tart

Even Aiden was ready for some!

DSC_6218

Altogether (Aiden, Galen, and myself) we gulfed down 9 of these delicious 葡撻.  Not to mention, we just finished lunch less than 30 mins ago; how could one resist the best 葡撻 of all time.

DSC_6224

Someone is all sugared up for the rest of the day!

DSC_6232

Although Aiden doesn’t need sugar to be energetic or sweet.

DSC_6238

During this overseas vacation, he likes to play with his saliva, and often slurp it back in. Yuckie!

DSC_6240

Look at that 得戚樣.

DSC_6259

Good thing he always 表情多多.

DSC_6264

Makes the bus ride way more fun.

DSC_6268

Time to go for some cold, refreshing desserts!

DSC_6283

Most of us opted to start with the red bean popsicle… DSC_6284

Only 4 taken here as we all couldn’t fit at one table.

DSC_6286

We’re still looking through the menu to see what other goodies there are!

DSC_6288

But look there is even a poem on the wrapper for the red bean popsicle!

DSC_6290

With increasing rent costs, we wonder if they’ll still be around next time we can make a stop in Macau.DSC_6293

It would be sad to see another 老字號 go.

DSC_6294

Next up mini ice cream sandwich.

DSC_6295

Flavors are not what you think they are.

DSC_6301

This minty drink is rarely seen around these days.

DSC_6304

Mommie got her favorite Mint Chip Ice Cream.

DSC_6311

Aiden was very eager to take part in sharing Mommie’s Dessert. One spoonful after another, Mommie is so gracious in sharing!

DSC_6316

Special treats more than usual during vacation time!

DSC_6317

Don’t want to torture Aiden when he can obviously see how we are enjoying our food.

DSC_6319

One quick snack before dinner.  牛雜

鮮菜魚湯

DSC_6325

椒鹽九肚魚 was delicious – so good there was not enough to satisfy our tummies

DSC_6326

炸牛利 – never had it done this way before.

DSC_6329

魚腸煎蛋

DSC_6332

冰鎮芥蘭 – veggie not in season so it wasn’t as good as everyone anticipated

DSC_6339

炒通菜, This veggie dish was ordered, basically because of me.

DSC_6345

When they say half a chicken, they mean half a chicken.

DSC_6352

蒸鯇魚, this dish specially for Aiden, and fish doesn’t disappoint.

DSC_6355

蒜蒸三菜, More vegetables for the night.

DSC_6364

芋頭臘味煲, My Father-in-Law’s favorite taro – taro is not in season though

DSC_6367

Look how quickly Aiden assimilates to his environment.

photo (2)

He didn’t want to sit down.

photo (3)

He felt like a big boy this way.

Bus Handle

We wanted to make a run at 源記 but it was just too late.
