Thank goodness Aiden’s fever went away in the nick of time.
Or else he wouldn’t get to see his Benny 叔叔 or Janice 姨姨
Or see the Christmas lights!
He was so excited!
Who could blame him?
He’s waited all week to 食飯with his uncle and Auntie
and he didn’t see lights last year.
Daddie bought him a little car from Target that day.
And he took it to nap with him.
After dinner we went down to Tustin to see the lights.
So many cars, but luckily we found parking.
Aiden wanted to get a closer view.
It’s so cute to see that he’s the same size as some decorations.
He would wave to the different decorations, like Santa.
Aiden did a lot of walking.
Many times he wasn’t willing to let us hold his hands.
These Santas look plain but when they start to dance, they are pretty cute.
Thank goodness it wasn’t too cold.
Or the night wouldn’t be so enjoyable.
We took a few family pics tonight!
He was happier when he didn’t have to hold onto our hands.
Daddie was also testing out his camera.
Tonight he was out of luck – the train was not turned on.
But still lots to see.
But Aiden enjoyed the outside lights more than the garage.
He was ready to run out of there.
Choo Choo train!
Aiden was so excited!
Something else he recognizes – Snoopy!
But he didn’t want to get close.
Pretty neat – the choo choo train actually had steam because of the tower that provided the hot water.
I’m so glad Aiden enjoyed this, as we’ll go again next year!
He did pretty good with walking most of the time.
He just didn’t want to hold hands.
His big thing now is making his whole body go limp so that you can’t get a good grasp to pick him up.
Or he moves his hands so that you can’t hold it.
And he ducks here and there.
Sheesh – little wild child sometimes….
It drives me a little crazy!
I’ve been to this block about 3 times – it’s nice that they did add some new stuff.
Like the choo choo train, the time out jail cell….
Aiden even had some hot chocolate at one of the homes.
In the end, we rushed out to catch another Christmas lights HOT spot!
The long awaited Nellie Gail Light Show
Lights from top to bottom.
Free cider from the home owner.
A line to go inside the home.
Aiden had fun dancing to the music.
It was a late night for him.
He didn’t sleep until past 10.
Lately he has been trying to push his bed time later and later.
But we still want him to sleep about 9, or else he wouldn’t get enough rest.
He likes to play pretend “Riding on a train.”
But with no destination.
No matter where I asked him, he would say “no.”
Last year Aiden did not participate in the Christmas performance.
This year he is doing one short song…
But unfortunately he did not sing.
Nor did he dance.
He was held the whole time.
Just like last year …..
Santa is just as frightening as last year.
