This week I’ve been doing research on nutrition for Aiden.
I learned some interesting facts that is important to Aiden’s diet.
Biggest need at this point is iron, as I look at his diet and I don’t think he is getting enough of it.
So although Dr. Wong had said to give him very little meat, I’ve decided to up his meat intake.
He didn’t like to eat meat before but this week he has shown more interest in meat.
Perfect since it’s easiest to absorb iron from meat.
I also want to limit his milk intake to about 24 oz only as milk blocks the intake of iron.
I’ve been going to sprouts on Wednesday to buy him a variety of fruits.
He’s sure loving it!
He also loves mushrooms.
In a bowl of veggies and mushrooms, he will pick out the mushrooms to eat.
His taste buds are just like his Daddie.
(Iron man?)
But Aiden has more cute and interesting looks.
Anyhow, I made him puree using different fruits and he really enjoyed it.
So we’ll be doing more of that for him.
I’m sure he is like Daddie and likes to try new flavors.
Just like how he likes to test Mommie’s temper.
It’s much more fun to go to the park altogether.
One of us can be at the top and the other can wait for him at the bottom of the slide.
Paranoid Mommie I guess but I’m afraid he would run off when he is done sliding and I can’t catch him.
Aiden does his little run, but he doesn’t know how to play chase just yet.
It’s so cute to see him do his mini run.
That movement of his feet and the sound of his laughter is just so captivating.
He still cannot jump, but he’s trying now.
Sometimes he will stand on top of this one box and just 奀下奀下.
And he makes noise like an ape.
He is so into cars right now.
He loves playing with the steering wheel, he will even pretend he’s honking (maybe I shouldn’t have taught him that :X)
I think he needs more time with older kids.
At day care where he is at, most of the kids are a lot younger than him now.
So I took him to the older side (1.5 – 2.5 years old) to check it out and the teacher thinks he is ready.
Iron Man again?
Daddie and Aiden have been playing with the LEGO train set before dinner time.
One night Daddie totally lost track of time.
They were just having too much fun!
Aiden has some monster instincts in him.
Thank goodness he calms down real fast!
2 more teeth came out, it’ll hurt more when he bites. (10 total)
Sometimes he will want to take the tracks apart.
Daddie told him “no” but he didn’t listen so Daddie put the lego away…….for a day……
Aiden is getting better with using the spoon.
Daddie said he did very well scooping up his apple/plum puree.
But he still makes a total mess.
But for some reason he usually rather use his hands.
Aiden has learned to turn on the humidifier.
It’s not difficult so I am not surprised, but he wasn’t very interested before.
What he used to do was shake it until the water poured out and then I would put him in time out.
I can’t believe it’s been a year since we moved into our home.
At that time he couldn’t even crawl.
A new surrounding is now familiar grounds to him.
These days he’ll pretend to go to sleep…just to tease Mommie.
When we realize Daddie is awake then we go find him.
Aiden loves to take over Daddie’s spot.
Especially Daddie’s reclining seat.
Time for fun at Emma’s 3 year old birthday.
The theme is fairy tale – prince and princess
Aiden doesn’t have prince attire, so I figure Dinosaur is the closest fairy tale monster.
Of course he loves to run around.
Walk around is fine too.
The weather is nice at the perfect time as it was raining not too long before we left home.
I think it’s because there are so many babies at his day care, he would crawl from time to time.
That’s part of the reason why I think it’s time for him to be with the bigger kids, at least part of the time.
Anyhow, at the part was a card board house.
Aiden got to go in and stick his head out!
He just kept running from one door to the other, or to the other windows.
Aiden gets his own crown, delivered by the birthday girl.
Time to decorate the crown.
Daddie and Aiden’s first craft project together!
Great job boys!
The prince dinosaur.
But the crown didn’t fit Aiden.
Once he moved….
The crown became a neck accessory.
But Daddie found a way to fix it.
He used the star to tighten the crown and keep it intact.
I’m surprised Aiden was willing to wear the crown for so long.
He won’t even wear hats for that long.
Maybe because all the other kids had their crown on.
What a fun day for Aiden!
We stayed for a little over 3 hours.
He was having so much fun the I fell out of his crown.
But at least with the remaining letters you can still sound out his name.
Then it was time to eat!
Aiden drank about a third of the apple juice.
We had delicious food from the Slummin’ Gourmet
What a treat! (and beautiful cake)
Aiden had 3/4 cups of mixed berries, some pasta, and also some Caprisun too!
He had such an appetite!
Picture time with Cinderella!
But Aiden rather go on his own.
He saw Brandon and wanted to play with Brandon.
But when Brandon reciprocated the attention back to Aiden….
Aiden ran off crying.
Aiden was not cooperative during picture time.
We had to put him in time out.
But Cinderella was so sweet.
Although Aiden refused to look at her or talk to her, he did stop crying.
I can’t believe Cinderella was so nice to stop by and give him some love too.
Then Aiden was all good again.
Party favor time since it’s about time to go.
What a great party that Auntie Cindy put together for Emma!
