The ducks haven’t been swarming for the bread we feed them as of late.
So we took a break from the ducks and went to the playground instead.
Slide was wet so Daddie and Aiden put sand on the slide to dry it.
Aiden loved that part!
Aiden hasn’t needed our help to go up the stairs.
It’s a bit steep so this is the first time he’s gone up without looking clumsy.
He saw some kids going up a different route and wanted to follow.
Of course he’s not ready for that challenge.
But we did hold him and let him slowly climb up.
Time for a change of scenery.
Swings!
He was willing to go higher than usual.
But he didn’t really want to go on the baby swings.
Big boy swings for him now!
I was trying to teach him to put his legs forward when the swing moves forward.
and bring his feet back when the swings moves back.
He doesn’t fully get it just yet.
And then he wants down – and was in such a rush he did not tell us he was going down.
He fell, but didn’t get hurt.
Time to play with some sand.
There was another boy sitting opposite of him.
So Aiden was pointing at him.
Now he’s trying to copy him.
The park definitely tired him out.
When we got home he didn’t put up a fight to take a nap.
But he was missing his duck routine.
Aiden looks so tall in this picture, but he’s still on the short side.
Waiting for his next growth spurt.
In the meantime, he was finally able to use the index and middle finger to put up the number 2.
He used his right hand to help him put the other fingers down to form the “V.”
He was so proud of himself and of course we felt the same way of him.
