Brushing Aiden’s teeth after so many months is still proving to be a very difficult task.
He doesn’t look forward to this time and nor do I.
He knows when he is being bad and he will say he’s in trouble.
He knows but he has no self control.
He always wants to see how far he can go.
Aiden likes to sort things, like sorting which items are his, Daddie’s and Mommies.
He used to do that with body wash and hair products in the shower stall.
Now with lotion.
This boy is good with directions like his dad.
While we were passing the exit to go home, he pointed towards it saying “this way Mommie” (not straight ahead) “not that way Mommie.”
Or when we had to go to a regular destination and I missed the exit, he was desperately trying to get my attention to let me know I should be getting off the freeway.
Aiden feels so free in his boxers.
It is really helping with the potty training.
Although he still has a few accidents here and there.
Wow, what a way to treat his tent.
Me, trying to play dentist to get Aiden to put his guard down.
Lately he has been better when I brush his teeth while he listen to Eric Kwok’s song Iron Man.
So now he knows Batman, X-man, Spiderman, and Iron Man.
Although he doesn’t know what they look like.
His new favorite song!
And of course Mommie has to act like a clown and do all these little things just to try and make it a more pleasurable experience for Aiden.
Aiden loves Doug Doug, who is about 10 months younger than him.
He even told me he wasn’t my big boy anymore.and that he was Doug Doug’s big boy.
They played the toy car and would take turns pushing each other.
Although Aiden played the role of the bossy older brother.
He would open the door, and Doug Doug would know to get out and switch places with him.
On the other hand when Doug Doug was riding in the car, when he was done he would open the door and trade places with Aiden.
Sometimes Aiden looks forward to Mommie working extra hours.
Then he can do fun things with Daddie.
Like going to McDonald’s.
But today, he didn’t want to eat.
All that was on his mind was going to play.
He was very insistent.
So they went to play first before heading to McDonald’s.
Daddie told Aiden to give Mommie a massage when she gets home since Mommie will be tired. Without another reminder, when I got home from work that Sunday and he awoke from his nap he remembered to give Mommie a massage filled with love.
He feels like the King of the World.
But we definitely have our hands full.
We want Aiden to take responsibility for his own actions.
When he dropped some snacks on the floor, he blamed it on Doug Doug.
Although we told him he needs to own up to it, he wouldn’t because he didn’t want to get in trouble.
Well, it will take some time.
Douglas went to touch a little monkey accessory on Galen’s camera bag.
Aiden was quick to tell Doug Doug that he cannot touch the monkey.
(That’s because Aiden once stuffed it in Daddie’s computer and collected a lot of dust and Daddie said no more touching the Monkey!)
And every now and then he will mention Doug Doug touching the monkey.
Aiden has a very good memory, he remembers the good..and possibly even more so the bad.
When someone is bad or doing something naughty, he will say they are too much.
It cracks me up when we were in Vegas and he says the dolphin was “too much” because it splashed him.
One evening when I went home late and Daddie was busy cooking, Aiden actually went to the bathroom all on his own.
In fact,he even dumped the “waste” from his potty to the big toilet and flushed it too!
This little boy thinks he has ages beyond his current age.
Now once in a while he bounces off words that I didn’t realize he knew.
On July 4th, when Galen told me to close the door Aiden quickly said ” 老婆(wife)閂門.”
Then a few days later during dinner, Aiden called to Daddie “老公(husband)!!!!”
Another funny story was one night when we were wrapping up dinner, Aiden was rushing us to leave.
I told him “唔好催我地” (Don’t rush us)
Then he started blowing, 吹.
Haha.. quite original!
He also knows Mom’s car is an Acura.
He knows the logo of our cars, and will say it’s either my car or Daddie’s car.
He knows what a buggy car is. This boy is going to have quite an expensive hobby. Who says boys aren’t expensive to raise?
