Jet lag? Need time to adjust to new surroundings?
Aiden seems to be doing pretty well on the surface.
There are a few set backs, but overall Aiden did well on the flight and loves his temporary home.
Grandpa and Grandma has prepared everything for the three of us.
Grandma made Aiden banana muffin, and there are plenty of fruit.
But for some reason he didn’t like the kiwi.
He’s already learned after falling once that there is a step down to go to the kitchen.
Auntie Cindy let us borrow Emma’s rubber duckie bath, which is perfect since Aiden went to see the Giant Duck Duck.
Daddie even dressed Aiden to match the special event.
But Giant Duck Duck didn’t fascinate Aiden too much.
Our rare family picture (that’s probably why it looks so awkward)
We are so lucky because the next night Duckie was hurt (lose air)
Daddie was more intrigued in the Giant Duck than Aiden.
Aiden was more intrigued with these tiny ducks.
So many people surround these plastic ducks.
So many around to meet the demands of all the people.
Aiden was just cruising around, more interested in the kids that played there.
Leaning against Duck Duck when he felt tired.
Daddie said that it is obvious how ABC Aiden is after coming back.
Is it because he is so super friendly?
…when he’s not acting cool that is.
Maybe it’s his haircut.. too harsh?
I think the other toddlers and babies have frazzled hair that sticks up.
Daddie couldn’t put anything concrete to back up his statement.
So if anybody knows, please do tell!
Anyhow, it was explore time for Aiden.
Not just the ducks but he wanted to go here and there.
Mommie? Mommie had to go chase Aiden down of course!
But most of the time Aiden was good and let Mommie hold his hands.
If not he had to spend time fending off being held.
He’s never been so free before in the States!
A little bit ironic, isn’t it?
But I guess he’s experienced so much in this short amount of time!
Going on the plane, bus, trolley, ferry, tram….
Not being tied down at a restaurant.
Taking the elevator.
When Daddie went to get his refund money, we let Aiden stand on the elevator on his own.
When the door opened (not on the right floor) he ran out the door.
Lucky the neighbor was kind enough to bring him back inside.
He’s also having the worse meals ever!
Basically bread is what’s keeping his body going.
Yes, Mommie is waiting for him to get back onto his normal routine.
He hasn’t gotten used to the milk here either, so Dr. Wong will not be happy!
One morning Grandpa had to go out to get Aiden prune juice! Thanks Grandpa!
The places that we eat at just don’t seem to have anything that he likes or can eat.
Now Aiden can say duck and 鴨.
Aiden and Grandpa/Grandma got along well quickly of course.
Aiden definitely doesn’t have stranger phobia.
He was quick to like 表姑媽!
She’s got many cool things on her and is fun to play with!
He will miss them so much when we go back (this was seriously what Mommie spend a day feeling sad about)
Going out all the time, his sleeping schedule during the day is out of whack.
So sometimes he’s extra fussy and grumpy.
At first Aiden was scared to play with the dog, 菲菲.
But it wasn’t long until he forgot, and it was 菲菲’s time to be scared.
But nobody was more scared than Mommie. But the food was very good. Thank you Auntie Shirley.
Last minute we decided to go to 山頂.
Aiden kept waving to the surrounding people who were waiting for the tram.
Aiden is already sleepy but it’s just so much fun he doesn’t want to miss out.
But the small bounces going up the mountain, he couldn’t help but conk out.
He missed the scene from the tram, but will make it up later on.
As his nap was short.
He did a lot of walking today.
Mommie was a little over protective and afraid he would hurt himself.
He fell twice and had a few scratches and Mommie had enough.
Thinking back now, I probably should have just let him keep going.
He wasn’t very cooperative either.
Most of the time he didn’t want anyone to hold his hands.
He kept walking at a slant and would slowly walk towards the mountain.
One time almost hitting his head.
Nor did he want to put on his hat.
I think Aiden is ready for short trails!
Let’s get him ready for an active, healthy life!
I think he walked a good half mile?
Slope or no slope, he wanted to go on!
The sweat didn’t and heat didn’t bother him.
Next stop: Taiwan!
