Shark reef time
But Aiden wasn’t very interested.
We got there at 10:30
We were basically done in 15 minutes and I had to force him to stay until 11:00
Too close to his bed time.
He was more interested in the people.
In fact when he was playing with his toys at the hotel, he didn’t even want to leave the room.
When did he become such a homebody?
Normally, he would throw down his toys for a chance to go out, even if it were only the backyard.
But it’s fine that he didn’t have fun there, at least it was free.
And he had a chance at the pool today and with both of us by his side.
Daddie put a “roof” over his head to keep as much sun away.
It’s busier at the pool at this time (around 5:30 p.m.)
We stayed for half an hour as we needed to rush to our dinner stop.
He must be bored~
Staying in one place for so long.
Time to set out to the other side of the pool with Daddie!
Let Daddie do the work, good exercise!
Aiden must be thinking “Now that’s more like it!”
All smiles again.
I guess I better start looking into swimming classes.
But he should be feeling good after his nap earlier today.
He was such a cranky kid when we hung out with my friend, his wife and kid.
So he’s definitely having a better evening.
Later he found that the octopus can be removed.
Then that kept him occupied for a while.
Daddie said that they maintain the pool water well at MGM signature.
So it feels extra nice to take a swim in it.
It really is good to have Daddie join us.
It was a rough morning/early afternoon.
Driving was a definite challenge.
Going from our hotel to Mandalay bay/parking took almost a whole hour.
I look forward to the next time we go to Vegas and Daddie isn’t on a business trip.
Sleeping at night hasn’t been a problem for Aiden.
He would sleep about 9:30 until 7:30 in the morning.
Which was good since I have been battling a cold and actually have some time to recover.
It’s difficult battling a cold in Vegas, indoors you got the smoke and outside the hot air just kills your throat.
While Daddie is working, Aiden would ask about Daddie every now and then.
People don’t make much comments about Aiden when it is just him and I.
But when we are out with Daddie, people are always praising how cute he is.
Maybe I’m so focused when it’s just him and I, I wouldn’t hear people even if they said anything to me.
Just a few facts about MGM Signature, it’s valet only.
We would ask Aiden to be on the lookout for our car when we are waiting for them to bring our car to us.
I think he knows the difference now between our car and a regular car out in the streets.
When we left Mandalay Bay today, and I was searching for our car he pointed to it and said “o個度”
But he also got confused after going to the dealership, and he thinks he can sit in cars on the streets.
He’d walk over to it and want to open the door.
That applies to other vehicles too, like bikes and scooters.
It’s about time to head out.
But after we take a few Daddie and Aiden pics first.
We forgot to take a family pic….again.
We’ll just have to try to remember next time!
Daddie is happier than Aiden!
For sure, Aiden has gone a few shades darker after this trip.
Probably as dark as Mommie now.
Daddie hadn’t eaten all day, but he wanted to spend time with Aiden at the pool.
In order to spend a little time at the pool we pushed back our dinner to 6:30, it didn’t matter since no reservations.
We are hungry and ready to eat!
For dinner went off the strip to Goyemon.
But it was good they let us sit at the sushi bar, so we didn’t have to wait.
But surprisingly the uni taste better than it looks.
At least there wasn’t a bad smell or after taste to it.
Aiden gets to enjoy all you can eat as well, with $3 extra charge.
I am no fan of a place that gives you more rice than fish for sushi.
Aiden wasn’t being particularly cooperative during dinner either.
We tried our best to keep him occupied and calm.
Ahi poke… would have been great if there wasn’t all that seaweed (not my cup of tea)
At the end I saw there was sashimi salad, but it was too late.
It was a disappointing meal.
Aiden did drink some water, which was good.
But he kept throwing things on the floor when he didn’t want or need it anymore.
It was a pain since the seat/bar was so high.
Aiden wanted to try and eat the lemon.
Haha…. I told him no……
But he didn’t listen.
And sucked on it more than once.
Shocker!
Time for dessert.. one of the better part of the meal.
Daddie got red bean and lichi flavor.
Mommie went for the more traditional green tea ice cream and vanilla mochi.
Aiden ate almost half of a mochi.
And when Mommie ordered Yuzu sorbet
Aiden ate almost the whole thing.
So we got another order!
Otherwise I would have gone home crying…yes I am being a little dramatic there.
That’s a lot of ice cream for Aiden for one night.
But no coughs afterward, he must have needed to quench his thirst.
Full but not satisfied!
After dinner we didn’t go right back to our hotel room.
Instead we walked over to MGM.
Aiden loves the moving walkway.
But when he wasn’t on it, he wasn’t motivated to walk.
He kept wanting to go on the moving walkway, and opposite direction.
He loved to walk over and view the bicycle.
A salesperson at Sugar Factory came over to explain how the lollipop “holder” works.
Lollipop? Too much sweets for Aiden!
So that’s a NO, not on the shopping list.
It’s nice to go walking after dinner.
We can’t really relax on the walkways, as we have to be on the lookout for other walkers and step aside for them.
Along the way, Aiden would want to sit on the benches.
We can tell he is tired because he can’t walk right.
Now we can finally relax.
Good thing Aiden likes the elevator, no battles to get back to the room.
