I still remember going to the OC Fair last year (link).
Aiden was sleeping in the car last year when we arrived.
This year Aiden is ready for some fun.
He was very happy to sit in his stroller, which has been collecting dust in the garage for quite some time.
So many stands, time to find some food for our tummies.
And time to find a nice seat.
It’s so hot, we need some shades.
Not a bad seat.
And this year we are listening to the kids from the Orange County Broadway school.
There was one particular person that caught my eye.
A performer named Sky.
Sky wasn’t amazing, but I saw potential.
This time around Aiden helped Daddie with ordering food…technically he just kept Daddie company.
They didn’t have the fried crab crepe.
So instead I went for the ham and cheese crepe.
Char-grilled corn
Daddie had drumlettes with fries….
Although Aiden ate a lot of the fries.
Soft Ice Cream
Delicious on a hot day!
Messy eater
Definitely a day full of unhealthy food!
But he was actually enjoying the Broadway music too.
He would turn around in his bench and ignore his food and enjoy the performance on the stage.
Time to look at some animals…
Aiden was a little scared.
At times he would hold on tightly to Daddie’s shirt.
Piglets
They are more interesting than the mean goats.
Time to see how tall Aiden is – not tall enough for this ride.
This ride is just right.
He just loves cars
In control
It’s his world
But…
when the ride started, he didn’t like it as much.
Aiden’s first time out – topless
And he loved it!
He was very curious
He didn’t want to share.
But he kept complaining to Daddie that people wouldn’t share with him.
If people came to where he was he would usually go elsewhere.
Sometimes he just kind of stood and watched.
He enjoyed placing his foot atop the hole where the water comes out of.
He even pulled Daddie to join him around the wet area.
He wants Daddie to stick up for him.
We spent so long here that we almost missed the piggies race.
We ended up going to the last showing at 7.
And we saw kids at different age groups riding a bike with loads up to 165 pounds.
It was nice to teach Aiden to cheer them and the piggies on.
But Aiden was tired and wasn’t a very good audience.
He kicked the lady in front of us several times.
Lucky she was very understanding.
I think playing with water is the highlight of Aiden’s day.
He did not want to leave.
He even put up a small tantrum.
He’s got such an uneven tan.
Poor dark arms.
At least this should help him even out a bit.
His baby belly has gone down a little.
He definitely enjoys the perks of going topless!
1 day of OC Fair a year is plenty for me!
He’s like the energizer bunny but the heat tires me out!
But no running in the water for me.
So many kids but Aiden wants nothing to do with him.
In his eyes he only has one friend, Doug Doug.
Very selective toddler we have.
We were out for the whole day and no Time Outs.
Not bad, not bad.
But he is so quick to throw tantrums these days.
So Daddie and Mommie needs to nip it in the bud.
But so far, it’s not working.
It doesn’t help when he doesn’t have patience
And his parents have even less patience.
We’re definitely a family!
We totally forgot about this play area or we would have brought his swim wear.
My co workers said I should have just let him roam in his diapers.
Aiden wanted to play longer.
2nd time on this car ride.
It was the last car available.
He was actually eyeing the blue car.
Again, he preferred sitting inside before the car starts.
At least he’s got a good imagination.
Now he’s ready to get out!
It’s getting late and time to go home after about 6-7 hours of fun.
But crazy Daddie wants to challenge the 12 hour mark next year.
I don’t know if Aiden can handle that.
He conked out soon after we got in the car.
