Space Mountain

haven’t done this for a long time: Squeezing 3 bikes into my RDX!

and finally we are here, @ the trail @ 8:30am, Space Mountain in Thousand Oaks. The last time me and Tom were here was almost 2 yrs ago, everything changed! they now have a new “parking lot”! this used to be just a dead end street, now they actually painted it into a parking lot

Plenty of parking, today is not crowded, only half of the parking lot is filled

Galen is here, he drove 1.5 hrs to come here from his house! but Space Mountain was on his list for a long time, and today, he decided to ride without a Motor with us!

Last time I was here was with Tom too

and today we have 雲海 again! it’s a really interesting phenomenon, my 1st time seeing 雲海 here @ Space mountain, noticed the super thick fog STOPS and got blocked by the mountain in front of us

When we were driving ALL the way from the valleys, we were literally driving inside the cloud, and all of a sudden when we arrive here, it opens up with blue sky, so weird

starting the day it’s a bit chilly, but get ready for some climb! for the past couple times, I have been riding Space mountain with eBike, and today, I decided to ride without motor too! haven’t done this for a while, it’s about 1500ft climb, and this is going to be Galen’s LONGEST non-motor climb as well. Weather is cool, so let’s enjoy the climb together!

then, the trail changed COMPLETELY, they actually dug a brand new trail and the previous super steep section is gone, now it comes down to the road like this

brand new trail, see where that stick is? going up used to be the old trail, and they blocked it off now

finally made it to the top! what a beautiful view!

really did not expect the view to be so beautiful today, all layers of mountains and cloud

when you need a drone, you did not bring it… haha

Galen’s GoPro is growing a LOT of hair now lolz

back to the bench, me and Galen 斷哂氣, even I have reached my leg climbing limit too, 1500 ft
