Aiden loves drawing.
His scribbling has “improved.”
By that I mean he doesn’t just grab the pen and move it around.
There are different strokes and marks.
Sometimes it even seems he puts a little thought in it.
I have a new “drawing game” with Aiden.
He will draw part of the drawing.
And I will finish it for him.
Of course he doesn’t know I have such a game in place, but he will catch on.
This is what he does when you say “smile.”
We’ve also spent this Thanksgiving working on the “ABC” wooden puzzle.
He wasn’t able to do it at all before. But he has greatly improved. He especially loves the “H” which underneath it is a house.
He will repeatedly move the H and say “House.” – He will point to him and me – my interpretation he means our house.
But he has greatly improved.
This long weekend Daddie woke up earlier half the time to tend to Aiden.
So thankful for that little extra resting time!
When Mommie is busy, Daddie always finds fun activities for Daddie and Aiden bonding time.
Irvine Regional Park.
A little time at the Playground….because everything was still closed.
Gotta keep Aiden busy for 4 full hours.
That wasn’t hard to do at all.
In fact, Daddie had to cut it short because there was only 4 hours.
Otherwise Daddie would have taken him on a Kid Trail.
We’ll have to save that for a family event, let Aiden see the healthy aspects of life!
They did make it to Target later though.
Aiden can go on half of the activity center without an adult right there with him.
Especially when it’s just Daddie and Aiden.
Mommie tends to be just a little bit too cautious.
Like Mommie would have been right with him on these stairs.
Good growth for Aiden while Mommie is away.
He gets to experiment way more.
Whoa! Look at him go!
I’m glad to see his increased confidence.
So proud of Aiden!
It’s his own way of “climbing up the ladder.”
Almost got to the last one!
Galen said he enjoyed running by the trees as well.
Daddie had a little scare at the park.
He misplaced the camera.
Someone did drop it off at the lost and found!
Time for a little running exercise.
And he fell again.
I wondered why the scabs on his knees seem to never fall off.
That’s just part of growing up…
Learn to fall and get back up!
Aiden’s very lucky to have a Daddie that challenges him so he can grow!
I’m so thankful Aiden has such a wonderful Daddie.
I’m thankful that Aiden is healthy and that we have that opportunity to teach him healthy habits and lifestyle.
I appreciate the different teaching styles that Aiden is subject to, if everyone’s style was like me Aiden would probably be a huge scaredy cat – like myself.
I love his inquisitive mind.
We went to eat with Uncle Toorima and then Mitsuwa on Saturday. He is scared of Benny, but really likes him too.
On the way and at Mitsuwa, Aiden kept saying “叔叔” and constantly looking for him.
At home when Daddie mentioned “Benny” Aiden even know we were talking about 叔叔.
When he saw the train he kept saying “Choo Choo” non-stop for 15 minutes.
Later when Galen was talking to me about his”火車”experience, he knew exactly what we were talking about.
He has never called it 火車 so we didn’t know he knew what it was.
Although he seemed excited, he didn’t really smile on the ride.
When Aiden saw the train conductor he said “hi” to the train conductor.
When the train conductor took their tickets, Aiden said “Thank you,” after Daddie’s prompting.
And the conductor said that Aiden was very polite.
I can’t wait until Aiden says it on his own.
He does say “Thank you” to some things randomly, but it is very random and inconsistent.
Daddie pushed Aiden into the pile of leaves.
He had so much fun!
To think, just the other day Mommie wouldn’t let him lie in the sand.
Daddie brought his cow harness but they didn’t use it.
So he got to be very free, no wonder at Costco he didn’t want to hold hands at all!
Off to the zoo.
He was scared but he still ran towards the animals to look.
He was most interested in the mountain lion feeding session.
He even copied the instructor when the instructor was showing the other kids how to feed a mountain lion.
He will need more outings to be more at ease, he didn’t even want to pet the rabbits.
What an eventful long weekend, even with the rain on Friday.
Thanks for giving us so much to be thankful for Aiden.
