Just a typical weekend but with lots of pictures.
And Aiden doesn’t mind one bit.
He loves the attention.
I wonder if that’s why sometimes it looks as though he’s posing for the camera.
This Friday night Mommie feels particulary tired and lazy, so we relax with some TV.
It’s almost bed time and we’re watching 愛,回家.
As usual his blankie is close by.
We go through nearly the same ritual every night.
Aiden’s normal bath time is between 8:00 and 8:25.
Then we go downstairs to enjoy some milk.
He may or may not have a little playing time depending on how tired he is and when bath time ended.
Aiden is asked to put away his toys.
This TV stand now truly belongs to Aiden.
He knows at the right hand corner of it is where his books go.
Usually he just tosses it around that section.
But sometimes he will surprise us by putting his books in a pile.
We might play brush your hair, for some reason he enjoys this.
Now he has a comb to use as well so we might switch off, or use both.
If time permits we’ll read bits and pieces of a story or two.
This week he is into Dr. Seuss’ “The Foot Book.”
Between 8:30 and 9:00, we will check on him from time to time to see signs of sleepiness.
He may rub his eyes or just frequently find his blankie, although tonight he did not want to sleep.
He might fight it a little bit, but he’s really good about it (when he’s tired). “Aiden want to “覺覺豬?” He’ll know to take his blankie to go to Daddie. If Daddie is on the couch, he will lean against Daddie with blankie. Super sweet. And of course we always ask for kisses and return the favor!
Aiden is so used to the school schedule that he woke up a little bit after 6 A.M. on Saturday.
As usual it’s bonding time for Aiden and Mommie.
Mommie won’t allow Aiden to go bug Daddie until she is sure Daddie is awake.
Then we relax at home until it’s time to go out for lunch.
Daddie brought down the dino toy today (that Daddie bought at least 9 months ago).
Aiden immediately claimed it, even before Daddie said it’s for him.
New toy and new clothes! What’s the special occasion?
Before lunch, we decided to make a quick stop at the Cedar Glen Park.
Another park we haven’t been to.
Aiden saw the swings and was ready to GO!
Oh no! The swing squeaks.
Not that he minded, but it drove Mommie nuts.
We had to switch to the other swing, after we fixed the chain links.
Aiden didn’t want to leave the swings as usual.
Time for the slides!
We had to wait until Daddie wiped down the wet slide.
Aiden tried to be as patient as possible.
Down, down, down… but off to another slide, since Daddie didn’t like that one.
Whoa! Aiden chose to go down the slide the big kid way.
He was a little afraid, but the slide was really short.
Mommie wasn’t sure if Aiden would whack his head against the slide and scare himself.
But Aiden was very good!
He must be thinking “not as bad as I thought.”
That was a piece of cake.
And he chose to go down the same way again!
It was Mommie that still felt a little iffy.
Can you really do it Aiden, or are you going to flip over?
It’s hard for Mommie to let go!
But look at that smile!
What a big boy!
He probably wishes it was just a little bit longer.
The one thing we didn’t like about the park was too much sand.
Sand in shoes is not what we want to deal with right before lunch.
Time to check out the scenery.
Not much to see.
So Aiden slides some more.
Whee!!!!!
Mommie did a better of staying back this time.
But Mommie has to admit, I was still alert.
Especially since Aiden is far from being conscious of his surroundings.
At least safety wise, he is not.
Okay, what does Mommie expect? He’s not even 16 months yet.
But Aiden did slide backwards half the time.
Don’t get your head stuck Aiden.
We don’t want to call the fire truck out here.
Aiden looks all happy now, but he wasn’t happy to put on this jacket.
It’s a different texture from what he normally wears, and he doesn’t like the feel of the fabric.
This little boy has no patience.
If he wants it, he wants it right away.
If he doesn’t want it, it’s like tug of war.
I know he’s a boy, but when did he become such a boy?
He was such a little gentle fellow the first year.
We are at Mitsuwa Food Court as Daddie really wanted to try out the Beef Tongue dish.
He’s just having so much making silly faces.
An advertisement to keep him busy 🙂
Daddie’s drink – his prize!
Even though he doesn’t get to drink any.
Awww, did you hurt yourself again?
Good thing you get over it fast!
Fun on the bed!
Daddie says he loves the fluffy obstacle – the blanket
He loves looking at Daddie’s 少年 photo
Today we didn’t do much after Mitsuwa.
Just relaxing at home and doing chores.
Aiden loves to go upstairs, since he seldom goes.
He finds the rack quite entertaining.
Aiden knows so many commands now, I’m amazed.
It didn’t take long and he learned “脷 “. He will stick out his tongue to show it.
Fast moving too! Don’t touch Aiden!
And just like that he can switch to rest mode.
But not for long!
Energizer bunny!
Mommie needs more training to keep up with you.
Off to mess with the printer.
He loves to see the blue light and hear the noise. (so noisy)
Another new love: playing with the closet door.. must teach him to treat it with care.
The basketball is on the heavy side.
But he will still throw it, to watch it bounce.
Relaxing with Mommie?
Or relaxing at Mommie’s expense?
