Aiden likes to mix “real” stuff in his pretend kitchen.
He tried to squeeze juice out of it.
He tried to bite it.
So bitter!
He even tried to use his pretend knife to cut open the orange.
All to no avail.
So of course he gives it back to Mommie for help.
He ate one whole orange (the flesh) by himself.
He has started class on the big kid side on Tuesday for an hour a day.
The first day he was roaming around the whole class non-stop.
The second day he was willing to stay seated, maybe because a guy buddy was with him.
He had light bloody nose a few days this week.
But the big scare came Friday morning.
When he woke up crying at about 5 something, I placed him on the bed thinking he was just being fussy.
Until out of the darkness I noticed he had a really bad bloody nose.
I wanted so bad to stop the bleeding because I thought that was the most important thing at hand.
But Aiden just kept crying and wasn’t cooperating.
Daddie heard the panic in my voice and came downstairs.
Daddie took a different approach by comforting Aiden first.
Then Aiden slowly calmed down and the bleeding stopped.
That same day he had a fever and he refused to drink medicine from the syringe. He’s a big boy now and will drink his meds the big boy way, out of the measuring cup.
