Day 39 – Busy day

Aiden mama had a one month postpartum check-up this morning and Dr. Han confirmed everything is ok and the recovery went very well.  So far so good, especially since little Aiden has been doing well all morning after his cranky growth spurt from few days ago, papa Galen decided to take on an adventure and bring the whole family to west LA to try that “probably the best ramen in S.Cali”.

We arrived a little before 12pm, as expected this place is very packed and we waited for about 45 mins.

Beautiful day today. Peach tree right outside Tsujita.

The very hungry grandpa with the very sleepy Aiden.

uh oh, time’s up.  Little Aiden is awake and wants to be fed even before we get seated. That pre-mix Similac formula came in handy.

This is his 2nd bottle and he almost finished the whole thing. He can drinks 4oz of milk once a while now, depends on his apetite.

This is his “I’m done” pose, don’t you think that’s so cute?!~  =P

PS. Aiden mama so glad papa didn’t post this pic on Aiden’s FB.

Grandpa & Grandma are so hungry by now.

Tonkotsu Ramen – Soup base is good.

Add $3.99, you get a salmon sashimi don.  I’d say not bad for the price.

Tsukemen – this is their most famous item. You eat this like soba, by dipping the ramen into the soup base.  According to them, the soup base has been simmer for 60 hours.

Seasoned boiled egg is perfectly prepared.

After lunch, we walked to next door for some dessert – shaved ice.

I like these pictures.

Grandpa holding the taro shaved ice with red bean.

Amy & I got the black sesame shaved ice with egg pudding, almond jello, red bean, and topped with condensed milk. Surprisingly good black sesame shaved ice, rich in flavor but they are so stingy and not filling up the plate with toppings.

Tonight, we headed to Macaroni Grill for dinner, which is not too far from home.  This has become one of our favorite restaurant lately, not because of the food, but due to the facts that its kids friendly, and we get 15% off from idine.com.

Little Aiden wasn’t interested.  ZzZzzzzzzZzZZ

This wine is soooooooooooooo sweet.

Grandpa’s Grilled king salmon

Grandpa’s lobster ravioli.

Amy’s Chicken Marsala

Unexpectedly, I forgot to snap a pic of my pasta.  hahahaha… maybe next time.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, we even stopped by half & half in between meals to let grandpa try their famous milk tea.
