New Bike Day – 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo Comp w/SRAM AXS

Specialized was having a big sale in Oct, 2022 to get rid of their old stocks.  They said they made too many bikes.  It could be possible.  No body care for mountain biking anymore, a sign that this COVID is way over by now.

A few decent build bikes are on sale with 25% off MSRP, including my current MY21 Stumpjumper Evo Expert and couple MY22 e-Bike.  I suspect they have something under their sleeves about to release anytime soon.  But with the current inflation and the way they have been increasing price on every new model,  it makes more sense to get a discounted one while still available.

The story goes like this….  I have been waiting and checking for any newly released e-bike since summer.  My current Turbo Levo lease will be done in Nov, 2022, so timing is perfect when they have this year-end sale come out right now in Oct.  I have been eyeing on the MY22 Turbo Levo Comp Alloy build in Cobalt, now 25% off MSRP $7500, come with the same drive chain as my Stumpjumper Evo Expert.  This price point actually was not too crazy, giving that Specialized has been releasing new bikes with $10k+ MSRP since beginning of 2022.  But when I about to order, they don’t have my size (S3) available in Cobalt anymore, only the Glossy Black or Red left – as of 10/06/2022.

So I quickly move on to the 2nd least expensive one, MY22 Turbo Levo Comp with MSRP $9000 (now 25% off too).  This COMP one is a carbon build version of the Levo Comp Alloy, but with better front/rear brake and upgraded TCU.  The Carbon build is also 3lbs lighter than the alloy one too.

Lets check out some pictures including the official one from Specialized before they take it down.
