Tokyo Thanksgiving Trip – Day 8 Part 3 & Day 9

The final days.

DSC01852

Time sure flies when you’re having fun

DSC01853

The night before we left Aiden didn’t sleep until past midnight

DSC01855

We were busy packing and he didn’t want to sleep first.

Even after we turned off the lights, he did not want to sleep.

DSC01857

He wanted to cuddle with us in bed.

DSC01867

But we still put him back in his crib

DSC01868

The food here may not be as good as it was in Kyoto and Osaka

DSC01875

But the fun times and memories in Tokyo definitely surpasses the last time we were in Japan.

DSC01877

This is definitely the best (family) trip ever.

DSC01880

Every time we go on vacation he learns so much, grows so much.

DSC01881

We can’t wait to be back.

DSC01884

We definitely have Japan in sight for our next international trip.

DSC01890

This is definitely a trip to be thankful for.

DSC01895

It happened at the right time with the yen so low.DSC01899

Right now it’s about 115-119, when we went back in 2010 it was around 80 yen to $1.

DSC01905

Perfect time to enjoy eating, shopping and just hanging out in Tokyo.

DSC01908

Aiden would have so much fun even if we went to the Tokyo station to hang out.

DSC01909

He loves it here just as much as we do!

DSC02313

No not even the weather can get us down.

DSC02317

Not even his tantrums spoiled the trip.

DSC02320

It was a great time to show him how to be respectful and have discipline

DSC02321

Some things he took very well, others are a work in progress

DSC02323

And even though I thought Aiden was the brattiest kid in Japan, I think he brought some smiles to people over there.

DSC02328

One time in the train, an older man played with Aiden “sticking out his tongue”

DSC02332

I think Aiden brings some playfulness to such a disciplined place.

DSC02335

Many times elderly people would try to play with him.

DSC02336

Even when he was in time out, a japanese man went passed us saying something I don’t understand and smiling at the same time.

DSC02339

Another interesting thing from the trip was someone even tried to interview me in the rain.

DSC02341

So thankful for this trip

DSC02342

For the 3 of us to see the world together.

DSC02344

We also got to see the wonderful, exciting things through the eyes of a little one, (mostly obvious things) like there are so many bicycles in Tokyo and it’s interesting how they will yell out things in the restaurant like su mi ma sen.

DSC02345

When we were shopping and I was trying on clothes, Aiden would even tell me if he thought the item looked cool.  He would also say “Nice!” So cute.

DSC02360

We actually saw this ramen stand on the last night before going back to the hotel, but  Bypassed it quickly with the rain and all.

DSC02364

It’s finally time to check out.

DSC02367

We are dressed to relax on the plane.

DSC02374

Time for some rare family pics by a family of Chinese at the hotel.

DSC02375

Before we leave we are back to 美登利.

DSC02377

Their delicious salad with the crab guts

DSC02381

This time I ordered the meal with “less value”

DSC02383

But I think it’s better because they didn’t have sushi that I didn’t like.

DSC02384

But I don’t like their rice.

DSC02400

But that’s most sushi places in Tokyo.

DSC02406

We were able to stay in Japan a few more hours, but not by choice.  We were stuck on the plane for a few hours before takeoff.  Boarding was orginally at 6:30 pm but we didn’t take off until 11:30 pm.  This is going to be a tough recovery from jet lag!
