Woodbury Park after 18 month checkup

It was mostly a relaxing day today.

IMG_1162

Starting with his 18 month checkup at Dr. Wong’s.

IMG_1165

21 pounds 2 oz (15 percentile) and 33.75 inches tall (30th percentile)

IMG_1166

1/2 inch growth for head circumference.

IMG_1172

But the most painful moment was for his hep shot.

IMG_1176

So we gotta add a fun factor for the day.

IMG_1179

Aiden loved sitting in the wagon with Emma.

IMG_1184

After this experience he will asks us to buckle him up when he is on grocery carts.

IMG_1188

He is more interested sitting here than playing at the park.

IMG_1192

Often times finding his way back to the wagon.

IMG_1193

But he did put in a little exercise.

IMG_1194

Run, Aiden, run!

IMG_1197

Aiden is active but for now, not much of a runner.

IMG_1198

Unless he doesn’t want you to hold his hands……

IMG_1199

This is definitely Dr. Wong approved.

IMG_1202

Less TV and cell phone activity.

IMG_1204

Will he be as active as Emma later on?

IMG_1205

Even though I don’t consider Aiden to be mellow anymore.

IMG_1208

Emma was super cute as usual!

IMG_1211

But Aiden doesn’t quite know how to play with her just yet.

IMG_1212

Maybe in a few months.

IMG_1213

By the time we got to the park it was about 8 pm.

IMG_1215

Good thing it gets dark later in the day during this time of year.

IMG_1217

Sweet Emma is more willing to play with Aiden this time.

IMG_1223

Every time she chased anyone she would say they are too fast and she can’t catch up to them.

IMG_1225

Whereas Aiden was not in any kind of chasing mood.

IMG_1226

He has his eye on the wagon!

IMG_1231

Aiden had given Emma an acorn.

IMG_1243

But pretty soon Aiden dropped it.

IMG_1244

One thing he enjoyed was that we weren’t constantly holding onto his hand.

IMG_1248

Field of green – that’s freedom!

IMG_1249

I was waiting for him to run along with Emma.

IMG_1251

But this was the closest it got to.

IMG_1253

It didn’t really happen as he doesn’t quite get the game of chase.

IMG_1256

But Cindy and Emma always tried to get Aiden to join in.

IMG_1259

Aiden didn’t quite want to walk…except to get closer to the wagon.

IMG_1267

We tried a few times to get him to run around more.

IMG_1268

But we finally gave up.

IMG_1273

That’s not what he feels like doing at the time.

IMG_1274

But this was a great experience for Aiden.

IMG_1278

He had a lot of fun and good learning too!

IMG_1296

Thanks Emma!

IMG_1298

Even though Aiden was ready to go, Emma still had plenty of energy.

IMG_1303

We enjoyed watching Emma have fun.

IMG_1304

Encore fun for Emma.

IMG_1381

Whee!

IMG_1403

Good exercise!

IMG_1404

I don’t even know if I have energy to spin Aiden around like that.

IMG_1409

Gonna have to try it out one day before he gains more weight.

IMG_1432

Emma wanted to keep playing.

IMG_1433

We stayed about a half hour at the park.

IMG_1442

It was getting dark so we headed back.

IMG_1443

One of Aiden’s favorite activity – chair transportation.

IMG_1445

Emma was absolutely wonderful, sharing her yakult with us.

IMG_1446

Before she gave Galen the last yakult in her hand, she ask Cindy for one more yakult. Smart!

IMG_1451

More chair transportation.

IMG_1459

He wasn’t the least bit shy this time.

IMG_1462

One of Aiden’s favorite thing: kitchen toy sets!

IMG_1465

And of course nosy Aiden went to check out food!

IMG_1466

Stealing Emma’s banana.

IMG_1475

I think he finished it all up for her.

IMG_1477

Guess he didn’t have enough food for dinner.

IMG_1478

Emma is so sweet.

IMG_1482

She went to give Aiden a big hug before her bath time.

IMG_1483

She caught Aiden off guard.

IMG_1484

He lost his balance a little but the moment was super cute.

IMG_1491

Time to go bye bye, but Aiden wasn’t ready to leave.
