In the elevator, waiting to say hi to Tokyo

DSC00243

Our quick breakfast in the subway station

DSC00245

Beautiful presentation, quality so-so, but that’s expected given the location of purchase.

Tokyo Station

A small shop selling various flavors of vinegar drinks

DSC00250

Aiden is awaiting some action.

DSC00251

Government building on the right, there was a tourist that asked us for directions.

DSC00252

Air is nice and floors are clean.

DSC00254

We are waiting for a restaurant to open and just hanging out here in the meantime.

DSC00256

Aiden is having fun running about and checking this place out.

DSC00257

He finally gets to get off the stroller and move about.

DSC00258

Who knew he would have so much fun with the vending machine

DSC00259

What a good resting spot – able to rest and let him run around.

DSC00262

But we couldn’t go to the restaurant Daddie had planned for us.

DSC00266

It was fully booked.

DSC00272

So instead we went to eat Seafood BBQ.

DSC00278

Salmon sashimi for Aiden and shellfish for us!

DSC00280

Shrimp was just okay but the 蟹膏miso paste was very tasty.

DSC00281

Gotta wait for them to cook the food though.

DSC00282

They were very good at first, but was slow to come help us so Galen did the cooking towards the end.

DSC00283

Escargot

DSC00285

Aiden also ate the scallops – delicious!

DSC00287

Shopping in Shinjuku

DSC00288

Too much for Aiden on our first full day.

DSC00291

He wanted to sleep through dinner.

DSC00292

We are at 魚心

DSC00314

We went to 魚心 in Osaka and Kyoto.

DSC00295

We thought Aiden would like the warm fatty melt-in-your mouth salmon, but he didn’t.

DSC00298

I didn’t quite like their shellfish.

DSC00299

He was a little more into it when we allowed him to brush soy sauce on the sushi.

DSC00304

He was still a little cranky but at least was willing to eat.

DSC00306

Tamago for Aiden – check!

DSC00312

But we also ordered regular salmon sashimi for Aiden.  He much preferred that and even tried the salmon roe.

DSC00315

It was a pretty light meal – I think we were still a little full from lunch.

DSC00318

We didn’t stay out too late today

DSC00322

I think we are all a little tired from the plane ride.

DSC00323

Lots of people on the street.

DSC00325

Shopping at Daimaru, a $10000 yen melon.  Daddie wanted to try so bad.

DSC00327

Black sesame ice cream

DSC00328

Midnight snack back at our hotel room.

DSC00334

Scallop and sweets

DSC00341

Oh so satisfying!
